Homeland Security has just issued an urgent bulletin, requesting that we reboot our routers and other networked equipment.
Hundreds of thousands of Home/Small business routers and other devices have been compromised.
Please reboot your router, and other networked devices to temporarily disrupt the attack. We will provide more information as it becomes available, but right now, there is no known fix.
To reboot your router, just unplug it and re-plug it. For your other devices, such as IP security cameras, Network Attached Storage (NAS), smart thermostats, Ring Doorbells, Apple TV, Amazon Echo, Google Home, etc., disconnecting power and re-connecting power is ideal. If you can’t get t the power plug, try resetting the system through software.
In addition to rebooting your equipment, it would be a good idea to scan your computer with you security software.
